Wildfire sprinklers for your home

Trident systems wet your roof, your eaves and the ground around your house when fire is near, so embers land on wet surfaces instead of dry ones. Here's what we make and how it goes together; then see it on your own home.

Five pieces, one system

Coverage is built in layers: the roof, the eaves, and the ground around the house. Prices are the catalog's, per piece.

A roof sprinkler pre-wetting a roof

Roof sprinkler

Stands on the ridge and pre-wets the roof on both sides, where embers land on dry, heated surfaces.

Roof systems cover the highest landing areas, where embers can settle and build up. Each head wets a circle of roof around it; heads are spaced along the ridge so their circles overlap.

From $249.99 each, before install

Eave sprinklers spraying along the edge of a roof

Eave sprinkler

Mounts along the roof edge and wets the eaves, where embers collect on their way into the walls.

Eaves are where the roof meets the wall, and a frequent place for embers to gather. Eave heads come screw-mounted, or with a no-drill clamp.

From $99.99 each, before install

An attack tripod sprinkler spraying in a yard

Attack tripod

Stands in the yard and aims where the roof heads do not reach: decks, fences, approach paths, the windward side.

Ground-level spray covers deck edges, detached structures and approach paths beyond the roofline. Tripods come with or without a valve, staked, and as a Pro model.

From $800 each, before install

A Trident pool pump system

Pool pump system

Draws from your pool, so the system is not held to what city water can supply and can run more sprinklers at once.

For homes with a pool: an independent pump feeds the sprinklers from it. Without a pump, a system runs on city water from your hose spigots.

From $999.99 each, before install

Trident Control System (TCS)

For city-water systems

Remote activation: start the sprinklers without being there.

For city-water systems (hose spigots, no pump). Quoted and confirmed at your site visit.

From $5,000 each, before install

PVC on the house, hose on the ground

PVC pipe runs up the wall, along the eaves and to the roof sprinklers. Hose carries the water across the yard from your spigot, or fire hose from a pool pump.

PVC pipe

From $3 a foot

Up the wall to the eaves, round the house through the eave sprinklers, and up to the roof sprinklers along the top of the roof.

Hose

From $1.50 a foot

From your hose spigot to the house and out to the attack tripod. With a pool pump, fire hose carries the water from the pool.

Two ways to get it on your house

DIY kit

  • The sprinklers, pipe, hose guides and fittings for your layout, with instructions.
  • Connects to your hose spigots (or a pool pump). No trenching, no changes to the structure.
  • You set it up, or a handyman does; we're a phone call away.

Pro install

  • Our crew mounts the sprinklers and runs the pipe on your roof.
  • We test the system with you and show you how to start it.
  • The price includes the equipment, the labor and our equipment fee.

Your price depends on your house: see a ballpark for yours on the next step. Prices shown are preliminary; your quote confirms them.

Water, activation, upkeep

Water

On city water, every hose spigot on the house shares one supply, so a city-water system runs up to 4 roof and 6 eave sprinklers at once. A pool with a pump is not held to that and can run more.

Activation

When fire is near, you turn on the water and the sprinklers pre-wet the house. On city water, the Trident Control System can start it remotely.

Upkeep

Once a year, check the heads, valves and connections for leaks or blockages, and flush the lines.
